Licence and authorisation

Artemisia Markets (Pty) Ltd holds licence number FSP 55373, granted by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act 37 of 2002.

What the licence covers

The licence authorises the firm to render intermediary services. An intermediary acts between a client and a product supplier. It does not issue the product, and it does not act as the counterparty to the client’s trade.

Derivative instruments transacted by clients of the firm are issued by a separate, separately licensed product supplier. The firm does not deal on its own account and does not operate a dealing desk.

The name on the licence

The company was registered on 7 August 2025 as Modern Financial Markets (Pty) Ltd. Its name was changed to Artemisia Markets (Pty) Ltd by amendment of its Memorandum of Incorporation under section 16 of the Companies Act 71 of 2008, effective 15 June 2026.

The FSCA register may still show licence FSP 55373 in the former name while the change is processed. Both names refer to the same company and the same registration number, 2025/624933/07. Nothing else about the licence changed.

Complaints

A complaint should be sent to the firm first, in writing, to the address or email on the contact page. The firm’s Complaints Management Policy sets out how it is handled and by when.

If the complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may refer it to the Office of the FAIS Ombud. Referral to the Ombud is free and you do not need a representative.

Conduct concerns may also be raised with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority directly.
